Vacation Bible School 2011

"Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen."

God has done marvelous things this year during the "Backstage with the Bible" Vacation Bible School. Here are a few reasons to praise the Lord:

• 95 children attended and about 60 volunteers came out to help.
  Of the 70 children that completed a survey:
• 6 children indicated that they decided to put their faith in Jesus to save them from their sins.
• 47 children professed that Jesus was in their heart prior to VBS
• 62 children said that they learned that Jesus loves them
• 57 said that they believed that Jesus had saved them from the penalty of their sins

Nancy Lanta told her life story about how she was born in India as a Muslim and came to Christ at the age of 7 when she dedicated her life to telling others about Jesus. The children listened intently as she challenged them to be missionaries for Jesus to people around them regardless how young they may be. Over $500 was raised by the children to support continued evangelism efforts in India!
